Analysis of Production and Broadcasting of Icehockey Programme in the Czech Republic and Slovakia

The diploma thesis focuses on the topic of processing hockey events on Czech and Slovak public television. The work deals with the analysis of production processes in the production of the programs Buly - hokej živě and Hokej - Tipos liga in 2021 and 2022. The basic theoretical framework is the process of production of media products and qualitative analysis of sports media content. The work also deals in one of its parts with the history and development of television hockey broadcasting in the territory of today's Czech and Slovak Republics. With the help of participatory observation, the author tried to reveal the routine and hierarchical organization of the production of sports hockey shows. Another part of the research was content analysis, for which she used basic research method of semiotic analysis, which is based primarily on the findings of Roland Barthes. The researcher tried to find answers to the following questions. What myths occur in hockey shows? What values are presented to the audience through the program? How is narrativeization used in individual reports? The findings of this work are summarized in its conclusion.
